CHANGER at Neuroethics 2025 Conference

Vicky Mollaki, CHANGER project coordinator, gave a presentation titled Research on Organoid Intelligence: Complex challenges necessitate novel ethics-by-design approaches during the “Organoid Intelligence” session, of the Neuroethics 2025 Conference. The conference was held in Munich in a hybrid mode, from 23 to 25 April 2025.

In light of the complex ethics issues raised by organoid intelligence technology, Vicky Mollaki outlined the importance of continuous oversight and ethics assessment in organoid intelligence research. As part of such an approach, two ethics review methodologies namely, narrative ethics scenario building and two-step consent, were presented which promote reflexivity and responsibility by researchers.
