CHANGER Final Conference: Save the date! Leuven, September 2026

The CHANGER project will conclude its work with a final conference titled “Beyond procedural ethics review: building reflexive research cultures”, to be held on Thursday, 24 September 2026, in Leuven, Belgium.
The CHANGER conference will run from 09:00 to 13:00 CET (registration from 08:30), and registration is free of charge. The CHANGER conference will bring together leading experts in research ethics, governance, and policy to reflect on the outcomes of the CHANGER project and to discuss how research systems can move beyond compliance-driven ethics review toward more reflexive and responsible research cultures. The event is aimed at researchers, research ethics committee members, Framework Programme ethics appraisal scheme experts, policy-makers, and all stakeholders interested in strengthening ethical reflection and responsibility in scientific research.

Τhe conference will be hosted in conjunction with the EACME 2026 in Leuven. Participants to the CHANGER final conference are encouraged to consider submitting abstracts to the EACME conference (Call for Papers for EACME 2026 – deadline 1 March 2026 – more info can be found here).
