CHANGER hosts week of Events, Workshops, and Plenary in Vienna | AT
From 27 to 31 January 2025, CHANGER partner Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) hosted a series of important expert meetings and workshops in Vienna, Austria in the frame of the Project.
The 3rd Physical Plenary Meeting (held from 27 to 29 January) brought together the CHANGER partners to present progress reporting on the project, align strategic goals within the work packages, and test piloting methods aimed at enhancing responsible research practices. Key sessions focused on emerging challenges in AI, machine learning, and research security. During the first two days of the plenary we were honoured to welcome esteemed representatives from the European Commission: Dorian Karatzas, Christina Chiotan, and Roberta Monachello.

On 29 January, the CHANGER-TU Workshop delved deeper into the ethical dimensions of rapid technological advancements. Discussions revolved around AI’s impact on research integrity, institutional responses to geopolitical shifts, and strategies for ensuring ethical compliance in cutting-edge research.

On 30 and 31 January a Cluster Meeting took place with ethics specialists who exchanged insights, discussed novel ethical assessment tools and challenges, and strategised collaborations for future initiatives.
