On 16 September 2024, at The Research Ethics Forum 2024 that took place at the House of Literature in Oslo, Ellen‑Marie Forsberg from NORSUS presented on behalf of the CHANGER project.

She shared insights on how recent updates to Norway’s Research Ethics Act have prompted institutions to rethink their approach to ethics in research. E.M Forsberg described how CHANGER is working on practical ethics tools that help researchers stay transparent and responsible throughout their projects. She emphasised the need for clear ethical roles, ongoing dialogue with advisors, and adaptable systems that reflect real research situations. Her presentation illustrated CHANGER’s goal of building ethics that are useful and fit today’s research landscape, especially as new technologies emerge.
