CHANGER workshop successfully hosted in Skopje
On 3 July 2025, Ljupcho Risteski, project partner from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, hosted a CHANGER workshop that marked a decisive step towards the establishment of an ethics review infrastructure at the University. The event gathered the Dean and faculty members, who were formally introduced to the CHANGER project by the project coordinator, Vasiliki Mollaki. A central highlight of the workshop was the presentation of the consultative ethics review by Marjo Rauhala, leader of WP3, which provided an innovative framework for institutionalising ethics review. This sparked an in-depth discussion on how such approaches could be strategically adopted to shape new, future-oriented ethics review processes within the University.

Through structured group work, participants developed concrete proposals for the design of an ethics review infrastructure. These proposals addressed its composition, objectives, mandate, and the roles of key stakeholders, as well as the necessary steps for its implementation. The outcomes of the workshop are expected to lay the groundwork for an institutional framework that aligns with European best practices in research ethics. This workshop therefore not only raised awareness but also created tangible momentum for policy-level change within the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, positioning it as a frontrunner in strengthening ethics governance in the region.
