VIDEO | CHANGER Cafés kick off with a discussion on Deception in Research
The CHANGER Cafés series officially launched with with their first session which was held online on Thursday 27 March 2025. This new initiative is designed to foster open discussions on key ethical challenges in research, creating a space for insightful dialogue and collaboration.


The first café, titled Deceiving Research Participants: Untangling the Research Ethics Guidance on a Tangled Issue, explored the complexities of using deception in research. The session attracted many participants, highlighting strong interest in the topic. Participants engaged in an insightful presentation, followed by a discussion that allowed them to share perspectives and experiences. The conversation helped to shed light on different ethical considerations and practical challenges researchers face when navigating this issue.
