Promoting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in AI: CHANGER Project at Policy Debate in Morocco

Continuing its dissemination activities, the CHANGER Project, represented by Vasiliki Mollaki, deputy coordinator at NCSR Demokritos, was presented and provided input in the ALF Policy Debate Enhancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in AI for a Sustainable Euro-Mediterranean Ecosystem which took place on 29 November 2024, at Campus du Savoir in Oujda, Morocco.

The event was part of the African-European Symposium on Responsible AI Governance, organised by Mohammed Premier University, the Oriental Region, Afriq’AI Institute, the Anna Lindh Foundation, EuropIA, and the Maison de l’AI, with the support of the European Commission and under the patronage of UNESCO.

With the support of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, DG NEAR, the Policy Debate in Oujda, Morocco, aimed to contribute to an inclusive multi-stakeholder approach that ensures the creation and use of AI technologies within the Euro-Med resonate with applied ethical standards reflective of the diverse values and principles thriving in the region.
