The CHANGER project took part at the 40th Annual Conference of The British and Irish Law, Education and Technology Association (BILETA) which was hosted by Goldsmiths, University of London from 2-4 April 2025.

Partner RUG represented by Marina Markellou and Jeanne Misfud Bonnici, delivered a compelling presentation entitled CHANGER: promoting human rights embedded ethics in the European Research Era.

The presentation highlighted the EU-funded CHANGER initiative—a multi‑partner effort aimed at integrating human‑rights‑focused ethical review into research practices, especially in emerging tech domains like AI and gene editing. The presentation also underscored the project’s ambition to elevate ethics‑by‑design frameworks, ensuring research aligns with fundamental rights from inception.
